Lara Bethke, PhD

Lara Bethke is the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Reboot Rx, where she leads fundraising strategy and strategic partnerships to advance drug repurposing for cancer and accelerate patient impact. She brings more than 20 years of experience driving impact through research initiatives and mission-driven investment.

At Reboot Rx, Lara helps shape priorities, identify initiatives that are ready for external support, and translate the organization’s work into clear opportunities for foundations, other funders, and partners. Her work focuses on connecting strong science with the relationships and resources needed to move promising evidence toward patient benefit.

Previously, Lara served in leadership roles at Fidelity Foundations, Health Resources in Action, the Klarman Family Foundation, and the Wellcome Trust, where she led research funding, scientific advising, partnership development, and portfolio management across biomedical research and global health. Her work has focused on helping organizations assess readiness, risk, and impact to help guide funding and partnership decisions. Lara holds a PhD in Biological Sciences in Public Health from Harvard University, an MFA from Colorado State University, and a BA from Duke University.
